How do I place an advance order?
Placing an advance order with Shrimp Runner is quick, easy, and designed to guarantee freshness. Every week—typically on Tuesday or Wednesday—we post the available seafood options on our Facebook page, including prices and pickup locations. You can place your order by commenting on the post, sending us a message, or calling the number listed. Please let us know what you would like and how much you would like to spend. We'll confirm your order and prepare your seafood after Kelby returns from his Thursday Gulf run. Your order will be ready for pickup on Friday or Saturday at your chosen location. This system helps us source exactly what’s needed and ensures that nothing goes to waste. It also gives you peace of mind—your seafood is reserved, packed, and waiting for you. Payment is made at pickup, and the entire process is fast, personal, and designed to provide you with the freshest seafood possible with minimal hassle.
Where do I pick up my order?
Shrimp Runner offers multiple convenient pickup locations to serve our customers in Missouri. You can pick up your seafood at our West Plains market—Shrimp Runner Restaurant & Fish Market—or at one of our Springfield partner sites: The Filipino Market on Campbell Avenue or The Hibiscus Jerk Hut on Glenstone Avenue. Occasionally, we offer special pickup events at markets or seasonal pop-ups. Each week, we include exact pickup times, addresses, and any location-specific instructions in our Facebook post when we announce the menu. Pickup is typically scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, depending on location and volume. If you're unsure which site is closest or most convenient, just message us. We'll guide you to the right place and confirm your time. Our goal is to make pickup as seamless and local as possible—no confusion, no stress, just a short drive to fresh seafood.
What happens if I miss my pickup?
We understand that things come up. If you're unable to make your scheduled pickup time, please notify us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to hold your order temporarily, but please note that our seafood is fresh, perishable, and sourced specifically for that week. While we can sometimes make arrangements for late pickups at the West Plains location, it’s not always possible at partner sites with tighter schedules. If you miss your pickup without notice, the seafood may need to be resold or discarded, which impacts both our supply and future availability. We appreciate customers who keep the communication open—it helps us minimize waste and plan more effectively each week. Consistent no-shows without communication may result in being removed from future order lists. We're flexible and friendly—but we rely on mutual respect to keep things running smoothly for everyone.
Do I have to pre-pay?
No, you don’t need to pre-pay for your advance order. Payment is made at pickup, which helps keep things flexible and personal. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for once you arrive, and you won’t be locked into anything unexpected. We accept cash and cards, depending on the pickup location; details are provided in our weekly Facebook post. That said, we do treat your confirmed order as a commitment. When you place an order, we source that seafood specifically for you, bring it back from the Gulf, and pack it up for local pickup. Although no upfront payment is required, we kindly request that customers notify us promptly if their plans change. This helps us minimize food waste and ensures others don’t miss out on high-demand items. We trust our customers, and in return, they receive dock-fresh seafood that has been transported hundreds of miles with care and accountability.
Can I order large quantities or party packs?
Yes—advance ordering is the best way to secure large quantities of seafood or one of our custom-built party packs. Whether you're feeding a crowd for a crawfish boil, hosting a family reunion, or just stocking up for a seafood-themed weekend, we’ve got you covered. Simply reach out with your request—what items you need, how many people you’re serving, and when you need it—and we’ll help build an order that fits your plan. Party packs can include shrimp, crawfish, crab, and seasonal items depending on availability. We recommend placing large orders early in the week, ideally before Wednesday morning, so we can ensure we bring back the exact amount from our trip to the Gulf on Thursday. If you're unsure about how much to order, we’ll guide you through the options. Large orders are welcome—and our system is built to handle them with care and attention to detail.
